[West Des Moines, IA] – The Iowa State Fair is set to elevate its interactive experiences in 2024 with several engaging new features designed to captivate and entertain visitors. This year’s fair will showcase VAEZR Studio’s interactive elements, an unforgettable experience for attendees of all ages.
Large Activated Mural
The fan-favorite interactive mural is back at the Iowa State Fair for another year! Following last year’s overwhelming success, we’ve partnered again with Lashier Graphics to bring you yet another photo experience. This year’s mural, located on the side of the Jacobson Exhibition Center, uses augmented reality technology to come to life. Snap an activated photo or interact with the mural using your smartphone as it comes to life. The artwork aligns with this year’s fair theme, featuring vibrant imagery that captures the “Fair Fever.” Be sure to visit often, as the activation will change throughout the fair, offering a new experience each day!
You can find this experience on the exterior wall of the Jacobson Exhibition Center located in the southwest corner of the fair.
Iowa Food and Family Project Interactive Exhibit
Stop by the Varied Industries Building for another VAEZR Studio experience that is bound to wow audiences. We’ve teamed up with the Iowa Food and Family Project for an interactive learning experience. Fairgoers can color a coloring sheet with an animal or crop, scan it with a designated scanner, and have their coloring appear as an animated element of a large screen display. The display is designed to showcase the organizations that make up the Iowa Food and Family Project by sharing fun facts and the role they play within the agricultural industry in Iowa.
Additionally, visitors will be able to experience Iowa Food and Family swag in a new way. Each bag will include a QR code linking to a website showcasing an engaging animation of the farm-to-table process, bringing Iowa’s agricultural story to life.
Located in the Atrium of the Varied Industries Building, the Iowa Food and Family Project will provide an immersive and educational experience to fairgoers of all ages.
Interactive Social Media Filters
The Iowa State Fair’s social media presence will be enhanced with a series of fun and interactive filters on Facebook and Instagram. Highlights include:
