[West Des Moines, IA] —VAEZR Studio, in collaboration with Lashier Graphics and Adel Partners Chamber, is excited to announce the launch of an innovative interactive mural at 109 Nile Kinnick Dr (4-way stop), with a ribbon-cutting ceremony scheduled for Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at noon. This event marks the unveiling of Adel’s first-of-its-kind city mural, showcasing the seamless integration of art, community, and cutting-edge technology.

This groundbreaking mural covers the side of Fiesta Restaurant, spanning over 40 feet. It features interactive elements that invite viewers to engage in a captivating visual experience. Through augmented reality technology developed by VAEZR Studio, visitors can use their smartphones to unlock hidden narratives and animations, which respond dynamically to their perspective and movements.

“Our partnership with the Adel Partners Chamber represents a significant step forward in the intersection of art and technology,” said Luke McDermott, Senior XR Engineer at VAEZR Studio. “We’re thrilled to have contributed to the creation of this immersive mural with Lashier Graphics, which not only celebrates Adel’s cultural heritage but also demonstrates the transformative power of interactive public art.”

The ribbon-cutting ceremony will include remarks from both VAEZR Studio and Lashier Graphics and Signs, alongside representatives from the Chamber, local officials, and community leaders. Attendees will have the exclusive opportunity to experience the mural firsthand and witness the innovative fusion of art and technology.

“We aspire for this mural to serve as a symbol of creativity and progress, inspiring neighboring communities to explore the possibilities of interactive public art,” expressed Pete Lashier of Lashier Graphics and Signs. “This project has been a labor of passion, and I eagerly anticipate sharing it with the community.”
